Linda Farrow meets architecture in SS14 still life campaign

with Belgian photographer Frederik Vercruysse and art direction studio Uber & Kosher

Tuesday, May 20, 2014 — Global luxury eyewear brand Linda Farrow has chosen a 100% Belgian team for its Men’s Spring/Summer14 still life campaign. Belgian photographer Frederik Vercruysse and art direction studio Uber & Kosher reveal the likeness of individual designs by merging architecture and eyewear in a pure and conceptual manner.

Linda Farrow has a long tradition of innovation and is renowned for its collaborations with many of the world's most acclaimed designers. Frederik Vercruysse and Uber & Kosher on their part have a similar aesthetic feeling for composition and a shared photographic eye. Together they selected several Rose Gold styles from the Linda Farrow collection, in addition to key pieces from prominent collaborators, such as the Belgian designers Dries Van Noten and Kris Van Assche, as well as American fashion designer Phillip Lim, based upon their somewhat architectural character.

Frederik Vercruysse and Uber & Kosher built up the perfect stylized sceneries for these Linda Farrow eyewear designs to thrive in. The images interpret  the architectural character of the eyewear, by setting them within carefully chosen 'construction' materials such as marble, copper and concrete, and delineated shapes. These still life sceneries unite architecture and eyewear, whilst elegantly draw attention to the understated masculinity of the eyewear designs.

The result are somewhat abstract, minimalist and almost surreal images. Typical Belgian, some might say and perfectly blending in the Linda Farrow styles. A combination of the worlds of the photographer and art director.
